Samson is an extremely loving Cattle Dog and would be great with the proper owner. He is a leaner, has never met a stranger and would make an excellent dog in a single animal family.

 

Samson is a red healer and has a moderate energy level. He is best on leash or fenced in as he is certainly likely to chase a squirrel! He would not need an experienced handler, just an owner that would have the time to pay him the proper attention. He is crate trained and house trained.

 

This has been a very hard decision as we have had Samson for 5 years and despite our efforts, he has become a challenge to our family and other animal dynamics here on the farm. Samson has no bite history and loves all people. He is also great with children. He has recent aggression towards our other Cattle Dog and would do best in a single animal home. He is also not okay with cats so a home with a cat would not be an option.

 

In addition, we are in a season where we will be moving farms and will need to be in temporary housing for up to 1 year. With this challenge, we can't keep both dogs in the same home during that time. No adoption fee required and Samson's owners would be willing to assist in transport if it makes logistical sense. We are excited to find Samson his new forever home!
