Meet Raisin, a ball of energy that doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. Though the sound she makes during tug of war may fool you into thinking she’s a tough dog. Raisin came to me last fall after her previous owners were retiring to their beach house.

Both her original home and mine occupied cats as well. This is where the downfall was in our household. She’s quite bonded to our youngest two cats. However, our oldest cats haven’t left the second story in nearly a year. With training, she has learned to leave them alone for the most part. But they are still terrified of her. We wanted to help but may be doing more harm to our older babies by this point.

Raisin is high energy but gentle. She could walk for miles or appreciate a loop around the neighborhood before work. She’s been around babies and seems to understand when things are fragile. She absolutely needs a fenced in yard as she likes to sit in the sun or play fetch on a daily basis. 

She requires tough toys and a rip-stop bed pad. She is crate trained but the door stays open. Without mental stimulation she will chew more than her toys (shoes, paper towels etc). I will say she could have the most exhausting day and if she can get ahold of your socks she will put a hole in them.

We spayed her in April but I missed her second follow appt for her vaccines. For flea / tick we use the Seresto collar. I’m willing to provide transportation and need to know that she’s going somewhere with enough space outside.
