Queenie is a 7 year old, 40 lb. spayed female in Dorchester, MA

“If you’re my person, I’ll be all yours.”

Queenie is the kind of dog who doesn’t just live in your home — she becomes part of you. She watches, learns, and bonds deeply, always wanting to be near her people. Sweet, smart, and full of life, she loves being outside, soaking up attention, and sharing her world with the people she trusts most.

We adopted Queenie five years ago after she was found abandoned in Texas and brought to Massachusetts by a rescue. Since then, she’s been a loyal companion who thrives on routine, connection, and having her people close.

She’s incredibly intelligent, energetic, and loves a good yard to explore. She forms strong bonds and truly shines in a home where expectations are clear and consistent. She is house trained and knows commands like “place” and “sit.”

Queenie does have some resource guarding tendencies and can be sensitive around food, resting spots, and personal space. She communicates with growls or nips as warnings when uncomfortable. Rare conflicts have occurred when another dog rushes up and barks at her, and she has bitten only when physically interrupted during a dog conflict. She does not bite unprovoked adults.

She lives with a 5-year-old and has had no issues. She also had TPLO surgery in August 2025 and has fully recovered.

Queenie is dog selective and has done well with some dogs, especially calmer, well-matched companions. In our home, the dynamic with our more reactive Yorkie has created stress, and we believe she would truly thrive in a more balanced environment.

Queenie is looking for someone who understands her — someone who can give her guidance, consistency, and a calm, steady home. In return, she’ll give you loyalty, companionship, and a bond that runs deep.

If you think you might be the right match for Queenie, please reach out. The right home will make all the difference for her — and she’ll make all the difference for you.
