Nova is a 1 year old. 40 lb. spayed female in Charleston, IL
Nova is a beautiful one or so year old who unfortunately spent a couple of months in a shelter before I adopted her.
Nova is crate trained and housebroken and wants to love but gets anxious. She wants to meet strangers but is having difficulty getting over her jumping behavior. She is very active and needs a fenced in yard and probably a one-dog household with no young children. She has no health concerns and has had a recent vet visit.
A friend and I are training Nova, and she is learning to walk well on a leash. Unfortunately, we both are aging, and I am having hip and knee problems and finding it difficult to keep up with this active gal. Someone with lots of young energy and perhaps a job for this intelligent dog would be a better match. If she can get through initial training, I believe she could be a good candidate for agility training, since she has been known to jump between tree branches in my backyard.
If you are interested in an active dog like Nova, you won't be disappointed. She's a beauty with potential. A small donation to a rescue group of your choice is all you need to go home with this gal. And I would be glad to assist with transport monetarily or, if you live within a 150 mile range, by driving her to a meeting place.
