Max is an 8 month old, 29 lb. neutered male in Crossville, TN.

MAX is up to date on vaccinations, recently neutered, and microchipped. He is crate-trained house-trained and knows basic commands. His recall is pretty good especially when treats are involved. He would do good on a farm, in an active home or with fur-siblings to keep him occupied. He does have mellow moments when he has run his energy out, but he just still has to get some of his zoomies out.

He is wonderful with all other pets! Yes, that means other dogs, (little and small) cats, and horses. Does well with small Children. He does get a little excited and will jump ever once in a while so he may scare the small kids, so he needs work on his no jumping. He loves the water and at this time does not chase cars which is a good thing for heelers. Walks well on and off the leash.

Max loves all the attention he can get he loves to be petted and LOVES TO GIVE LOTS AND LOTS OF KISSES!

He will not do good at your home if you are going to just put him in a dog pen and leave him alone, he will let you know he is not happy. This will include dumping his water bowl and taking his food bowl and banging it on the side of the pen. So that is why he will not need to be a put up in a small pen.

Max needs a fenced in back yard, large farm or living inside a warm home. He is curious about deer and wild turkey as where he is being foster at right now is on a large farm. They occasionally come through the yard, so he is curious and runs after them especially because they run off. He will be called off of them but just This is showing signs of if you start right now with structured training, he could be a working cattle dog.

He is a foster dog he came from a situation of where the family could no longer keep him due to living situations.

Transportation can be provided for Out of State Adoptions but If the adoption does not work out. He will be returned here he will not be surrendered to a kill shelter. We will work things out on how to help to place max if it doesn't work out.
