Lobo is a charming 4-year-old Australian Cattle Dog, blending smart working-line energy with the poise of a show line. This handsome boy isn’t just well-trained, he’s brilliantly talented! He’s mastered all the basic commands and even knows fun, useful tricks like closing doors and following complex cues. He’s a true companion, ready to impress and engage.
What Lobo Loves:
Playtime! He adores chasing chuck-it balls, playing interactive games, and even bouncing balloons.
His Friends: He’s wonderful with other dogs and has a special soft spot for puppies.
Adventure: He travels like a pro, comfortable in cars and on the move.
Routine: He’s politely patient at mealtimes (though he’ll remind you if you’re running late!).
His Perfect Home:
Lobo is looking for an active, patient family who can give him the space he needs to run and explore, a home with a yard would be his dream. He initially takes time to warm up to new people, but a quick game of fetch melts his shyness away. At night, he enjoys settling into his own cushy bed in his own quiet space.
He comes from a loving home with two adults and a young child and has done wonderfully in that setting. While his family’s circumstances require them to find him a new adventure, they hope to find a special adopter who might allow an occasional friendly visit to help Lobo feel connected and loved.
Lobo has nipped other dogs and humans and has broken skin on 1 of each. I've worked with dogs, worked under trainers and trained dogs as well. Lobo is not suited for tight spaces like the high rise which we live in with narrow hallways. The two bite incidents happened in elevators and tight hallways where we live. He gets protective of the humans he lives with which leads to a high arousal state in tight spaces which ultimately can lead to a bit if the behaviors isn't managed. While he is great with kids I would not suggest a home with kids.
