Kahla is a 1 year old, 50 lb. spayed female in Gastonia, NC
Kahla is actually a wonderful dog. She is a German shepherd/cattle dog mix. I am 5’4” and she comes just above my knee.
Since we got her last summer she has not grown much so I would assume this is her end size. She definitely has more cattle dog than German shepherd traits. She is very high energy. We have a fenced in 1/4 acre and u would say it is not enough.
She got loose one time and ran for darn near two miles without stopping. She knows basic commands and is completely house trained. She has zero health concerns. She is good with other dogs and cats. She has been best friends with a small maltipoo during her time with us as well as visiting with my grandcats when they come over.
She is completely housebroken and crate trained. She absolutely loves to chew and dig. She is a great tracker and easily trees small animals like squirrels, one of her favorite hobbies.
My son has taken her hunting and she did remarkably well. She has never shown any aggression whatsoever. She is a baby binkie and sock thief. I believe she would be an amazing girl for someone’s family, just not ours.
Her love for digging has carried into exhuming the grave of our old beloved bulldog that passed last year, she is so good at what she does she has gotten past any new attempts at diverting her from the area. Her sniffer is top notch.
Aside from the above mentioned behaviors we have had no issues with her :) She was acquired through my local humane society and they cannot take her at this time and we have been cleared to rehome. She is fully vaccinated, microchipped and spayed, can provide proof.
