Bindi is a 2.5 year old, 40 lb. spayed female in Toledo, OH
I adopted Bindi when she was 10 weeks old. She is very high energy, extremely intelligent, and loyal. If you are familiar with heelers, she is a very typical heeler. She is completely house broken and knows to ask to go outside. She also asks to go outside when she feels like she is about to vomit (this behavior was not trained, she just does this on her own). She is highly food motivated which has made training very easy. She knows multiple commands including sit, stay, down, place, wait, leave-it, and more. She walks well on a leash when she is in a harness, but I do bring treats with me as she can sometimes become reactive to other dogs.
We are needing to make the incredibly hard decision to rehome her as she is fighting with our husky (I recently got married and the husky is my husband's). These fights have led to her biting and breaking skin on our other dog, although, thankfully, the bites were not bad enough to require veterinary care.
I also just had a baby and we are concerned about the baby's safety if the dogs continue to fight. Because of Bindi's behavior, she would do best in a house with no other dogs and no small children. I am unsure how she would be with cats since we do not have any. She has been around older kids (6 years or older) and has been fine. She is a heeler, though, so she does occasionally nip in typical heeler fashion.
She is very loving and a great dog and I just want her to find a family who will commit to giving her a good home, proper veterinary care, and daily exercise. Her adoption Fee is $100 (this is for her protection only, I am not looking for profit and will happily supply her adopters with any items needed like her collar, leash, bed, toys, etc.) I am also willing to drive a reasonable distance in order for her to find a good home.
