Meet Benny - our Blue Heeler mix!

He is a 1½-year-old neutered male and up-to-date on his shots. He is extremely intelligent, eager to please, loyal, affectionate, and a total cuddle bug with his people. He is VERY much a working dog and is ready to perform, learn, and have a job. He’s ready to hunt, fish, herd cattle, or be your hiking companion.

Looking for an experienced home, trainer, rescue, or foster for this very energetic boy. He completed 3 weeks of board and train this spring, and his trainers are happy to speak directly with anyone seriously interested who would like to know more about him, his temperament, and his training.

We do need to be completely transparent about his history. Recently, he had an altercation with one of our smaller cattle dogs, and she tragically did not survive. We did not witness this so we are unsure what happened leading up to this event. About a month prior, one of our goats jumped into his fenced area at night; he bit her ears pretty good, and she ultimately went into shock and passed away.

Benny is not an aggressive dog in his everyday life and has always loved being around our other animals, but after these incidents, we cannot trust him to be alone with them.

We believe he needs an experienced, structured home where he can work, be challenged, and possibly be the only animal.
