Looking for an adopter!! I am in Philadelphia PA. Benny is about a year old (though they said 3-4 when we met him at the shelter), 32 lbs, some sort of bird dog / maybe Brittany mix? and had a very rough start to life…

 

He was turned into the shelter as a stray then put on the euthanasia list after being scared and shutdown in the shelter for 3.5 weeks. We brought him home and got him over a doggie cold, and he’s opened up a lot. but is still learn to trust.

 

He’s such a sweetheart and loves cuddles, fetch, toys, and sometimes forgets how to use his body like a lil baby boy. My dog is older and a bit finicky so his only reactiveness has come from response to her (we joke he just needs to learn how to dog and is mirroring any dog he sees).

 

He loves to hide under the bed until he knows he’s safe and then is very social in the house. He’s potty trained, including using pee pads, but has some leash fear we were working on, so it takes some coaxing to go on walks (but once he’s going he’s great.
