Basil will be 8 years old in July of 2026. She has been in a one dog, two cat household, but would be best in a one pet household. There should be no children. She is used to a little over an acre of yard with an underground electric fence. She is okay with a few visitors at a time, adults only. She is still very energetic and loves to play fetch and take walks and generally be outside with you. But she also loves to take a good nap on the couch. She is crate trained but only sleeps there at night. No health concerns.

We have made this very difficult decision to rehome her due to her fear and anxiety of children. We have a child now, and her behavior with him is too unpredictable and more than we can handle. She is very intelligent and has the potential to learn to tolerate children, but we feel it is best for her to be in a child free home. We want to do what is best for her and have her in a home where she is the center of attention again and not stressed.
