Archie is a 2.5 year old, 45 lb. neutered male in Pace, FL.
Archie is a huge loyal ball of energy. since his adoption, he has been raised with two cat siblings, one dog brother, and two human children (teen and toddler) along with both human parents. He is used to a full house with tons of activities happening. Archie thrives off daily work and is very food motivated.
Archie has attended 2 different 6 week training seminars and in house broken. He is kennel trained and will put himself to bed at night when he's ready.
Archie needs to be more of an outdoor dog than an indoor one. He loves camping and hiking and has no problem sleeping on the ground, in a tent, on a dog bed, or in the car. He can do long 8-12 hour car rides as long as he can expend energy at the end of it!
Mostly off leash trained with a Garmin collar to keep him in check. He would love to live on a farm where he can run wild and free and help wrangle in the chickens, goats and ducks.
Now onto Archie's flaws:
He will happily take food from anything or anything. Counter surfing is his vice.
If he's alone in the kennel for too long he will start yipping to be let out.
He loves to dig in houseplants and therefore we don't have any more plants inside!
Constantly barks at the neighbor dog through the fence- but when he's face to face with them, he only wants to play.
He needs well over an acre to roam.
Typical Heeler nipping at the back of legs and kids butts'.
He deserves a loving home where he can constantly be involved in some sort of adventure. He's a young healthy boy. You must have previous heeler experience and be on more an an acre of land for him to roam. Rehoming fee will apply. Transportation can be arranged depending on location. Would prefer to do a video chat interview where we could see his new home and land.
