Alex is a neutered 10 year old Texas Blue Heeler living in Virginia who is in need of a home with a large yard and a job to do. In 2019 Alex went through training with Off Leash K9, but could use a refresher on the commands.

 

He has successfully lived two young children. Alex takes better to men more so than women. He has been the only dog in our home for 10 years. He is not leash trained. He is high energy, and friendly.

 

One of his favorite games is playing ball. We will be moving soon and will not have much of yard to meet his needs. We are hoping to find Alex a home appropriate for his breed.

There was one recent occasion where Alex did not get along with one other dog and tried to bite the other dog. He would be better suited to be the only dog in a home. He can also be protective over his food.

 

Alex is very much loved and we want to make sure his adopter is a good fit for his high energy needs.
