Quigley
Quigley is a 10 month-old, neutered blue heeler with a full tail. He was pulled from a shelter in Upstate NY where he’d been picked up as a stray. He’d been in there for about a month when he got his leg stuck in the door of his kennel and broke both of the bones in his lower, right, front leg. His leg was splinted and resplinted when he managed to pull it off once. It became urgent that he be rescued from the shelter so that he could heal properly.
Approximately 1 week after being pulled from the shelter by his foster Mom, he developed a pressure sore under his armpit where the splint rubbed which quickly started to become infected. So back to the Vet’s for sedation, clipping and cleaning as well as a new splint. Now he is back home to continue his cage rest and healing.
Quigley is a very sweet little guy, weighing about 30 pounds. He is neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccines, housebroken, crate trained and good with other dogs. He hasn’t had much training yet, as he broke his leg before he could really get started but he knows “sit” already and is doing very well with “wait” and “stay”. He is really smart and very food motivated. He has a ways to go before he can be adopted due to his medical issues but he is an awesome boy and deserves to find a wonderful forever home.
