Ziggy is an energetic, playful 8 month old, 46 lb. ACD mix.
We adopted him at age 5 weeks (they said he was 8 weeks, but our vet determined he was younger than that) and he has been an easy to train, very affectionate dog. He is potty trained, leash trained, crate trained, comes when he is called when off his leash, and sits on command. He is neutered and micro-chipped, and all his shots are up to date.
We took him to puppy kindergarten classes and he responded well. He is a high energy dog and behaves better when he can get out for some exercise. He is used to having a fenced-in backyard. He barks at strangers, but will settle down with in a few minutes. He gets along well with other dogs. He chases our cat, but does not try to harm him. He chews a lot, so we provide ample toys and raw-hides. We love Ziggy, but he sometimes shows aggression to our children and he recently nipped our daughter when she startled him. We have made a difficult decision to re-home him to a home with no children. We request a donation to the Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association to ensure he is going to a loving home that wants him and can afford a dog.
Ziggy is in Binghamton, NY.
