Wolfie is a 2 year old, 45 lb. neutered male in Cleveland, OH.

Wolfie is high energy but will also chill for the most part when you do. He is a sweetie pie. Playful, silly, and athletic are a few words to describe him. He has had a bit of training - can follow a few simple commands like sit, down, come. He is nearly fully housebroken but when left alone for too long in an open room with carpet he may poop or pee.

He is perfectly physically healthy. Although, he does seem to have anxiety when over stimulated and when separated from his loved ones. When he is anxious he has bitten. For example he once got me on the leg when my son was swinging on the swing. He didn’t like it. He was jumping and nipping and got me in leg. Broke skin and bruised. Bit my boyfriend when he was trying to wipe his paws off. Has lunged at vets during vaccines. The bites previously mentioned were more more like snapping. Other than that he nips like a typical heeler.

We are really sad to part with Wolfie. This decision has not been made lightly. We bit off more than we could chew. I am a single mother and we have two cats, who he just seems to want to chase. The main issue is how his anxiety has caused some aggressive behavior like lunging and snapping. He deserves to be in a home with people who have the time and resources to give him the attention he needs. He’s a loyal protector.

I love him so much that I know it’s time to let go. I think he would do great with wide open space he can run and maybe another dog as a playmate. He loves playing with my 9 year old son. They both have about the same amount of energy, haha! I truly pray that the right owner is out there for our boy because he really deserves it and will absolutely THRIVE in the right environment. I just know it. Thank you!
