Due to an unexpected life change involving relocation, I need to rehome my wonderful 6 year old heeler, Viggo. He's 42 lbs (on the smaller/slimmer side for heelers) and we currently live in Durham, NC.

He is a healthy, well-trained high-energy dog who loves hiking, running, playdates with other dogs, and learning new tricks. While he’s always up for an adventure, he’s also incredibly affectionate and loving—a true “velcro dog,” he attaches closely with his human(s). He would thrive in a home where he can get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation, although isn't as high need as other heelers. He has lived with dogs, children, and cats before (although his playful energy is often matched with feline disdain…), and gets along well with men and women alike. While he'd be excellent on a farm, he also makes a great domestic companion.

I require no adoption fee, although I may need logistical assistance with transport.
