Sylvie is a 12-15 month old, 40 lbs. spayed female in Elverson, PA.

Sylvie is a smart, young, energetic Blue Heeler who needs people who can give her the attention she deserves and are willing to work on her "flaws". She has positives and negatives, like any other dog (or person).
Sylvie learns quickly - she would benefit from obedience classes (one on one from a good trainer), and would be awesome in agility. She is fast, and learns new commands quickly.

Blue Heelers are herding dogs, and she will try to do that to every animal she encounters, which is one of the reasons she needs to be an only pet.
She has bitten one of our other dogs, I believe she was responding to what she thought was her human needing help (the other dog was sleeping behind my daughter's chair, she rolled back, over the other dog, she yipped, Sylvie came running from the other side of the room and bit the other dog).

Aggression to humans has mainly been snapping and nip and run - usually when she is startled by sudden movement, but has also been to get attention (or so it seems).

Sylvie is alert, and will bark and try to protect you from whomever is visiting your home. Slow introductions are a must. We have started muzzling her until she is comfortable with the visitors. She has nipped people, never breaking skin, more like a pinch - but this is unwanted behavior.

Sylvie wants to please... you can see it in the way she focuses on you, waiting for a command. She seems to have anxiety about when she is left alone. (she has pooped soon after her humans have left the house) I suggest using a crate if she is to be left alone, until she is better settled into her new routine with new people.

Sylvie would probably like running with her new people. Until she is better trained, it would be best to muzzle her when she's out among other people and in new situations.

With time, patience and kindness, Sylvie will make a great pet for an active person.

Sylvie is in Elverson, PA.
