Rusty is a wonderful 1 year old, 50 lb. neutered male in Sharon, Vermont.
He was raised in a barn in Northern Vermont with 26 other puppies. He is very well behaved and has lived on a farm. He ALWAYS comes when he is called and is wonderful with cats and farm animals. We are moving to a in town village situation and I think he would be much happier in a rural situation. He is not an in town dog. He loves to hike and is wonderful off leash. If you are "his person", he will do anything for you. He has been on a leash, been with other dogs( we have 2 other older dogs) but is a tad shy when first meeting them. He has absolutely no aggression with people, other dogs or food.
This is a VERY hard decision for us and we are in no hurry....the right home is important. we would like potential adopters if possible to come to our farm to meet Rusty. We are very fussy where he goes.We do not work...we are retired and are home most of the day so if you work full time, and are gone all day, I don't think he would be very happy. He sleeps on our bed and is not crate trained but totally housebroken. He stays around the farm and is next to me at all times. It is so hard to write all this because he is a great dog.he serves THE BEST. The only time he gets really excited is when he sees me tying my hiking boots....he knows he is going for a run in the woods and he does bark with excitement. He has not been around children all that much but loves anyone who comes to visit.
Rusty is in Sharon, Vermont.
