Penny Lane is a sweet, gorgeous young lady looking for her furever home!

Located in Northwest Arkansas but willing to drive her to the right family.
100% ACD, almost 1 year old, 40 pounds.

Penny has been spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated!

She loves to play chase and tug of war!

Penny enjoys lounging in the sunshine after play time.

She is potty trained and crate trained. She will walk right into her kennel on command, turn around for her treat, then sleeps quietly until the sun starts shining in!

Penny follows sit and lay down commands very well. She responds to 'hey' for positive redirection. She is very food motivated, which is great news for further training. She currently goes to day school once a week at NWA School for Dogs.

Penny is a really charming and rambunctious girl that just wants to run and play. She needs an owner who can provide the attention she loves. She is pretty good on a leash - she loves to jog with me (does not love people approaching us).

Penny Lane was found roaming and very skinny back in February 2025 but no owners could be located. We brought her home in March and have provided her with all of the care described above.

Unfortunately, our home is just not the right fit for her. Penny has shown some resource guarding traits towards our other dog in the home. This has included biting; his skin was broken one time a few months ago but there have been several incidents where skin wasn't broken. She has not bitten a person but has given my husband warning snaps when he has reached to take a chew toy away. She has reacted fearfully of strangers out on leash a couple times when I took her into overstimulating situations; which was lunging and snapping but she has not made contact on a human.

 

We will continue to keep her here until she finds her people!

We believe Penny’s best bet is a home with no other dogs, no small children, and a fenced yard. We really hope we can find a home for her where she can be loved for all the years she has ahead of her!
