Ollie is a 9 month old, 50 lb. spayed mixing Windsor Locks, CT.

Ollie is a very energetic dog that will melt your heart! She loves to go for a walk, ride, swim, hike, run, etc. She has a great time at the vets, groomers, or boarding kennel. They have nothing but good things to say about her. She is very smart and strong. At only 9 months old, she still acts just like a puppy. She is housebroken and in excellent health. She has a fenced in yard but at 50 lbs. and a strong jaw/body, the fence must be strong. Not sure how she would be with cats since she has never seen one. Would chase rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks, and birds if not on a leash. Her best friend, a 15 month old german shepard, loves to come over and run around the yard. He has a hard time keeping up with her! She loves people and other dogs and would love to have a canine friend at her new home. She has had training classes and knows all the normal "tricks".

She tends to take things that she should not have. If you tell her to "leave it" as soon as she gets it, she will drop it and you can get her away, put her in another room and get it away. If she has it for awhile, she will bite and scratch you. My husband fell asleep on the couch and she got a empty pill bottle. He didn't know it was empty and he tried to get it away from her. He had many bite and scratch marks on him since he only had a pair of shorts on. Did not require a doctor visit but I was scared and ready to call the police because I did not know what to do. We are in our sixties and have not had a dog for 20 years. We do not have the money or the time to train her properly.

She lives in Connecticut right on the river. We would love to keep her as she is a wonderful dog but we are in our sixties and just can't keep up with her. Soon we will be retired and will be on a fixed income. I can help with transportation to her foster/forever home. No fee will be charged but a donation to a rescue group would be excellent!

She has to stay in a crate all day while we are at work and I know that is breaking her heart and mine. She wants to run and be with people! She is a cattle dog/lab mix. Please help me in finding her a home where she can be the best dog ever!

Ollie is in Windsor Locks, CT.
