Odin is a 3 year old, 44 lb. neutered male in Mesquite, TX.

Odin is up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention.

Medium to high energy level. Odin loves playing fetch and going on walks. He knows how to sit and lay down on command. He is kennel trained and mostly house broken. He's been in a boarding facility the past 2 months, so his house training may not be as good as it used to be. Odin can be wary of strangers, but at the same time he really loves people. He can be overbearing if boundaries are not set for him, by jumping on people or pulling on the leash.

Odin can be kennel aggressive if someone reaches in his kennel, he will growl, bark, or give you the cattle dog stare down. He needs someone who is strict, but also kind and understanding of his breed. Odin was diagnosed with IBD a few years ago, but he is being controlled by being on his dog food only and has not had any flare ups in over a year. Odin gets along well with other dogs. Do not recommend him being in a home with cats or small children, he does not have experience with either.

I've had Odin since he was 6 weeks old. I did my research and made sure to keep him busy with exercise and mental stimulation. We've gone on many adventures, had so much fun and experienced many things along the way.

My circumstances have changed the last 1 1/2 years. Cost of living has gone up and I've been working more to cover it. I also had my first baby in October 2022 and she has had many health issues since being born. My time is spent at work or going to doctors appointments for my baby. I no longer have the time to dedicate to him and his exercise needs.

Sadly, I also do not trust him around my baby. Odin has been in a boarding facility for the past 2 months because I can not bring him home, but I cannot keep him there a lot longer. I would love for him to have the perfect home and loving owners. I will make sure whoever is interested will be the right fit for him as well as them. I am willing to assist with transport if needed. There will be a adoption fee, but willing to negotiate and donate it to a rescue.
