Maverick is a 5 year old Australian Cattle Dog Mix. He is very well house trained and does well with other dogs. He is loyal and protective.
He has a lot of energy and needs sufficient outdoor time every day. He is loving and affectionate, but he can also be unpredictable with strangers. He has a herding instinct and has nipped at strangers heels before.
He loves to play with toys, lay in the sun, and roll around in the grass. He occasionally jumps on the counters when left home alone. He is not crate trained, but he is a very trainable dog.
Maverick would do best in a house with a yard, no cats and no young children. But he has lived in apartments over the last few years. He needs someone to keep him active, but he will certainly let you know when he’s ready to rest. He is truly the sweetest boy and deserves the best home.
