Kimber is a 5 year old, 53 lb. spayed female in Port Richey, FL.
Kimber would do well with a home that provides room to roam. Young children are questionable as she is a Heeler and likes to dominate. Kimber is selective with other animals and does not always get along with other animals. Kimber would do well with a disciplined home and owners that have time to invest in her.
Kimber has lots of energy and loves to play ball. Kimber loves treats and is easily teachable. Kimber is house trained, she knows basic commands like sit, lay down and shake. She is not allowed on furniture. She is kennel trained. When walking she does well on a gentle lead but does struggle to walk directly by one’s side.
She is in great health. Kimber likes schedules as it provides her with having a job. I have been Kimbers only owner and making this decision has not been easy. However, life changes and so do ones dynamics. Kimber is living in a small community which is not conducive to her breed.
Kimber living in suburbia America has highlighted the need for her to have room to roam. Kimber needs a family with property and who can provide her with structure. I am not able to meet her needs to allow her to continue to be the best dog she can be. Kimber very loyal, protective and loving. She has been around children and no major incidents with the two kiddos she lives with. Kimber also loves car rides and going places, it does take some training to get her warmed up and focused to be in public. I use to take her to Lowe’s and Home Depot to train, she did well. She has E-Collar training and responds well.
Overall Kimber is a great dog.I will transport Kimber to all of her meet and greets and ultimately evaluate on ones confidence with her and their ability to lead her. I will be asking for two references and to see where she will be living. She is very attached to one of the kiddies we live with and they will be part of the process, so they also have to sign off with her potential new home.
I will be looking into public information on whether the potential owner has any criminal concerns for dog fighting or just overall following county ordinances that will not place Kimber in a situation that could compromise her. Only reach out if you are serious. There is no adoption fee I just want to find an amazing forever home for Kimber.
