Iris is a 3 year old, 40 lb. spayed female in Sharon, MA
Iris is the most sweet and loving girl. She loves every person she meets and will act like your best friend upon greeting. Iris is house trained and has basic training including sit and lie down. She has very high energy and I think having a fenced in yard, another dog in the home, or an owner with high energy like running or hiking would be best for her.
She walks okay on a leash but pulls when she sees a bunny or small anima. She has those cattle dog instincts. She is very smart and has picked up on training- she would love agility as this one can jump pretty high! She likes toys and loves to play.
I have seen her interact with kids and she is very sweet and gentle however she does tend to jump up on people because she is so excited to see them! She has been friendly with most other dogs though having a thoughtful introduction works best for her.
I adopted Iris about a month ago. She is easy to fall in love with. I have health conditions right now that do not allow me to give her the amount of exercise she needs. It is a really difficult decision but I am hoping she can end up with a good person or family that can give her what she needs and receive the amazing love and affection this four paws has to give.
