Ghost is a 2 year old, 35 lb. neutered mix in Walled Lake, MI.
Hi everyone, this is Ghost. We are located in southeast Michigan, but are willing to travel throughout the midwest to find the best home. Ghost will be two in November and weighs about 35 lbs. He is fiercely loyal and intelligent, and an all around goofball. When he's not "working" (chasing tennis balls around the field), he's curled up in his bed. He knows several commands- come, leave it, stay, sit, lay down, between your legs, shake, and fetch- and he is potty trained. Ghost is a healthy, high-energy pup who would be most fulfilled with a large yard or nearby field he could run in.
He is quite reactive, and shows fear-based aggression toward dogs, cars, and men. Additionally, he struggles with body handling, and he would do best with an experienced owner, and not children. He has struggled with handling in the past, breaking skin on my hands from snapping. He has not broken skin in 8-9 months. He shows aggression to other people and dogs, but he has not bitten any dogs. We don't trust him around people, mostly men. He broke my Uncle's skin months ago.
These challenging behaviors are the reason I feel it is necessary for me to rehome Ghost. We haven't been able to use the dog park because of his aggression, and although he has never bitten another dog, I don't trust him there.
I have tried formal training and behavioral veterinarians, but I feel now that someone else could give him a more fulfilling life, a place he can get plenty of attention and exercise. I don't expect any fees, and I will cover the transportation. I only hope that I can find him a home that meets his needs.
