Didi is a 9 month old, 46 lb. spayed female mix near Milwaukee, WI.

Didi is very affectionate, loves children. Enjoys hugs and petting. She has a very high energy level, perhaps typical for the breed. She needs several miles of walking every day, maybe even a couple times a day. Five miles would not be excessive.

Alternatively, she is happy to get her exercise via play time with a similarly sized or larger dog as she loves to wrestle / run with other dogs. Active chewer; always needs something to chew on. She has eaten two holes in our rug but has not attacked the furniture. We recently bought an indestructible mat for her kennel as she was destroying the old ones.

Eats many things, especially wood that she finds on our walks, not a discerning palate. This behavior may be because she was found as a scrawny stray by MADAC. On walks she is easily distracted by other dogs, squirrels, children, and mail carriers (hoping for a treat from mail carriers).

Rings bells by the door to go out.
Knows commands wait, OK, come, inside.
Off leash she responds well to "this way". She does well off leash (and loves it) in the country for the most part when not distracted by other dogs, wildlife, or carion that she finds.
