Akira (Kira) energetic, protective and loving dog. She is a year and a half. She’s a heeler so she has a lot of energy. We have three kids and she’s great with them.

 

She is mainly an outdoor dog and loves going on walks, hikes and loves playing fetch. She loves chasing lizards, bunnies and squirrels around our yard and would be a great hunting dog. She does good with other dogs once she’s been introduced and has had a chance to smell them.

 

Kira has bitten two people I wouldn’t call it an aggressive bite either time but she did break skin one of the times. Both times it was on a males ankle that weren’t from around here and that she saw as a threat when they got to close to our property. Not aggressive towards dogs or people.

 

We have 3 kids and she’s great with them and never bitten them just nipped (when she was a puppy) and never broken skin. She is very smart and gets bored easily so she needs to be busy or she will try and get out of the yard.

 

We have made the hard decision to re-home her because my husband and I both work and don’t have the time they require for such an energetic breed.

 

We don’t expect an adoption fee and are willing to transport a short distance. I Reccomend a place where she can run around and have a fenced in yard and someone who has time to help her get her energy out everyday.
