DogBreedsInfo.org is pleased to present ACDRA with a Dog Rescue Award for excellence in providing underprivileged dogs a much valued resource. RESCUING AUSTRALIAN CATTLE DOGS
FROM MAINE TO NORTH CAROLINA.

Every year, thousands of Australian Cattle Dogs find themselves homeless through no fault of their own. Although the reasons are diverse, the result is the same. Healthy, adoptable dogs face euthanasia in shelters.

The Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association rescues ACDs from these shelters to give the dogs a fresh start with a loving family. Our foster home volunteers welcome the dogs into their homes where they live as members of the family. During the time in foster care, our volunteers determine what kind of forever home will be the right one for each dog. And then we find that home – regardless of how long it takes!

The Planes, Vans & Automobiles Rescue Transport helped 6 dogs travel over 800 miles in a single day to reach rescue!

Of the 6 ACDs we rescued and transported: 3 were spayed, 1 was neutered, 3 require expensive heartworm treatments, and all will likely need some level of medical care prior to adoption.
